Perhaps simply because I am currently recording an audio book, but I currently find this trailer hilarious and a little painful.
There’s also an interview in the Washington Post with Lake Bell, the writer/director about the politics of dialect and women’s voices in particular. It’s well worth reading.
First, it stars Lake Bell.
That’s a plus.
Second, it stars lake Bell doing “These are not the droids you’re looking for” with a Russian accent.
What’s not to like?
Where has this movie been hiding?! I want to see it immediately. Don Lafontaine is one of my heroes, and as I’m a struggling VO artist this really, really resonates.
It opens on August 16th. I’m planning on heading straight to the theater.
