I’m at the National Puppetry Festival and having an amazing time seeing shows and taking workshops. I thought I’d slip away for a moment to show you the puppet I made in the Needle-felting class. I’ve never tried this technique before and was stunned by how fast it is.

Nice! She looks very High Society. Are you using acrylic paint on the lips/ eyes? The building materials look fragile, is that wrong?
It’s all wool. There’s no paint on the figure at all. Felt is usually pretty durable and this is a solid ball of it.
Wow, that looks great. I like needle felting in theory (‘stab until adorable’ is a pretty good direction to have) but haven’t tried it in practice because I’ve always doubted I’d be able to get the structure I wanted. Your puppet has tons of structure. I may have to get some wool now.
