I’ll be getting on the airplane to go home in about an hour. Lately, I’ve been selected for special security screening every time out. I’m finding that I really don’t mind. I know the routine, it’s fast, and the lines for the SSSS are shorter than standard security. I make the security people laugh because
We finished the meetings today after getting lots of good work done. Emily and I rode back into NYC together and then headed out to a lovely restaurant for cocktails and appetizers. Then I met Peter and rode the train back up here. Tomorrow, I head back to Portland. Hurrah!

I had lunch with Sue, worked on the last of the Home Tour things, and made scones–not in that order. I have to pack because I get on a plane for NYC tomorrow morning. I’ll be back on the 20th of May. Yes. I will continue to update the travelogue while I’m gone.
Rob has introduced me to an older British series called Danger UXB about a WWII bomb disposal squad. It’s quite good, but I think the main reason he likes it is because the main character drives an MG-TD. Every time the car comes on screen, Rob sits forward and holds his hand to his chest
Today Rob and I did household stuff. He painted our dining room windows and I mowed the lawn. In the evening we went down to visit David and Amy for an evening of sushi and wine. It was really good to see them since they hadn’t been able to make it for the champagne tasting.
