In recognition of the legacy of Shirley Jackson’s writing, and with permission of the author’s estate, the Shirley Jackson Awards have been established for outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic.
This is a very worthy cause and they are holding a “lottery” to give out a variety of fabulous prizes. They’ve got one of Neil Gaiman’s keyboards, signed galleys, Tuckerizations and…an early draft manuscript of Shades of Milk and Honey, with kind permission of my editor, Liz Gorinsky. This manuscript contains deleted scenes that even she has never seen.
