The perils of trying to record at home

For the past several days, I’ve been getting up at 3 a.m. to record because it’s the only reliably quiet time in my apartment. Now why, I ask you, has my upstairs neighbor gotten out of bed to take a shower at this time of morning?

      1. Perhaps you have been waking him/her at 3:00am for the last several morning with your recording and he/she decided that you you can’t whip them then join them.

        1. You know, that went through my head, but conversation doesn’t usually carry up or down here unless a window is open. And I’m in the hall, so I shouldn’t be under him.

  1. Did you try going into any of your closets? When I lived on the bottom floor of my apartment building, I locked myself in my full clothing closet and it was some of the best sound I had! Really blocks out the noise. You just have to squeeze in there! 😉
