I thought you might like to see photos of our kitchen. It is giant.
To answer a question before you get there, the eye chart belonged to my great grand-father, Dr. George Robinette Walker. He was a general practitioner. It is glass and I have it installed backwards in the frame. According to my dad, the chart went at one end of a dark room with a light behind it. The patient looked into a mirror to double the distance of the room, so the letters needed to be backwards.
That eye chart is, err, eye catching!
Is that an original phone, or a speaking tube, or …?
It’s a phone that my dad pulled out of his college dorm when they were going to throw it away. It is purely decorative at this point.

Was Robinette your great grand-father’s maiden name too? (JUST KIDDING!!!)
Hope the mirror was high-quality, or he’d be adjusting his patients’ eyes to correct the deficiencies of the mirror…!
Oh those built ins. I am REALLY jealous. In all my years here, I’ve never had a place with those lovely built ins.
It’s pretty amazing. I think only the living room lacks a built-in of some sort. Everything else has wonderful amounts of beautiful storage.
