So. The day after I get back from New York, Rob and I will get on a plane and go to Hawaii. I can’t think of a better way to recover from building monkeys, can you? We’ll be there from February 23-March 1.

Have you been there before? I really liked Hawaii, although I was recovering from touring New Zealand and didn’t make the most of my time there.
Are you going to island hop?
I’ve been twice before. Rob’s parents live out in Aiea, so we try to get out every couple of years to visit. We let it go too long between visits this time. I’m not sure what our plans are, though after all of Rob’s talk about how Iceland looks like the big island, I’d sort of like to get over there.
Considerably warmer, I would expect! But yeh, I guess it might well be. My first experience of the USA was in Oahu in 2004!
Oh my. That doesn’t prepare you for the mainland at all.
Oh, wait for the best. I flew from there (with a one night stopover in LA) to Fort Smith, Ar. After a couple of weeks there I drove up the middle to Chicago. Got a good view of some different aspects of America!
