I’ve just posted Chapter 6 of the Without a Summer draft, for those of you reading along.
A little teaser.
I’m still a little unclear on how I pulled this off, but I actually wrote 2000 words yesterday while at Orycon. Today, I’m at a more reasonable — considering I was at a con — 400 words. I will probably get a few more in before turning in for tonight, but not a lot.
I’m not worried about this because I had gotten ahead at the beginning of the month, knowing that I’d have a couple of low-productivity days between the audition and the convention.
I’ve had such a bad time on NaNoWriMo so far. Too many things piling up to the beginning of November, maybe.
The timing can always be awkward but… there’s still plenty of time to catch up. The main purpose of NaNoWriMo, I think, is to teach you to put your seat in a chair and write. If 1600 words per day seems too big with your schedule this month, redefine your goal and aim for that.
