From April 20-22, 2012, I’ll be attending JordanCon IV: “Car’a’con” in Roswell, Georgia as the author Guest of Honor. Also there will be Artist Guest of Honor, Sam Weber, and Toastmaster, Melissa S. Graib Dombrowski. JordanCon is a fantasy literature convention founded in honor of the late author, Robert Jordan. Jordan was the author of the best selling The Wheel of Time series. JordanCon features four tracks of simultaneous programming, a Dealers Hall, and charity events benefiting the Mayo Clinic.
I’m very much looking forward to attending this.
JordanCon Artist Guest of Honor Sam Weber was born in Alaska, and grew up in Deep River Ontario, Canada. After attending the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, he moved to New York to pursue illustration and attend graduate school at The School of Visual Arts. His studio is in Brooklyn. Sam is married to Jillian Tamaki. You can visit him at http://www.sampaints.com
JordanCon Toastmaster Melissa S. Craib Dombrowski founded http://www.tarvalon.net – a social organization dedicated to realizing the idea of “Aes Sedai” in real life through service and fundraising – and has served as its CEO for over a decade. This international fellowship holds several functions and fundraisers throughout the year for non-profit organizations (including Heifer International and Doctors Without Borders) and is the home of Robert Jordan Memorial Scholarship for College undergraduates. A dedicated “Wheel of Time” fan, she has served as a consultant on several related projects including cover art for the Starscape Young Adult edition of WOT and the graphic novel adaptation of “New Spring.”
Oh, how awesome. Enjoy!
Thank you! I’m pretty sure that I will.
