The Reykjavík Grapevine Online – Daily News from Reykjavík, Iceland reports:

The United States military base in Keflavík is going to be scaled back significantly in the near future, with all aircraft having left permanently by September. The majority of personnel stationed there will leave, relatively new radar installations will close and a number of jobs are expected to be lost.
