Return from the Steampunk Cruise with photos. Lots of photos.

I have returned from the Steampunk Cruise, and it was amazing.

I’ll tell you that I was a little nervous about this, having never been on a cruise before. I expected it to be a sort of floating shopping mall, but it’s basically a high end resort on water. They call it a floating city and that’s really not far off. What really made the cruise though was the steampunk themed cruise in the middle of it. There were musical acts, which were amazing.

A crossroads. Shortly before I took this, a snake dropped from the trees. The other folks scattered. I had a parasol and felt quite smug.

Just to be clear, it’s really tall and steep.

By the end of the cruise, I had pulled several people back in time to the Regency.

I was also rooming with a mermaid. The first night aboard, she swam for us in the Solarium aboard the ship while This Way to the Egress played. The Solarium is a salt water pool styled to look like something out of Rome. The only people up there were steampunk cruisers and everyone looked fantastic. It was magic.

The whole week was, really.
