Huzzah! My novella “Kiss Me Twice” is a finalist for the Nebulas. Much happy dancing! The full Nebula ballot is up at SFWA.org but just look at the other nominees in my category. You should definitely hop over to read Cat Valente’s novella at Clarkesworld. I also read Kij Johnson’s in Asimov’s and loved it. Some of the others aren’t online, but are definitely worth tracking down copies. Yes, I’m reading them all and so should you.

I’ve known since last Thursday, and I will tell you that I discovered another fantastic thing about the whole Month of Letters project. I didn’t have to sit on the news. I could safely write down my giddiness in letters that I knew would arrive after the embargo date had passed. Who knew that a time delay could be so handy.
Now, go on! Go look at the full list of nominees.
nice news mary. you’ll have to build a trophy shelf sometime soon
That’s a wee bit premature. It’s just a nomination and the list is chock full of really strong stories.
Congratulations on the nomination.
I did pick up a copy of “Robots: The
Recent A.I.” at Boskone last weekend which contains both, “Kiss Me Twice,”
and, “Silently and Very Fast”.
You two aren’t making my Hugo nomination easy
Looks like you have some excellent company in this nomination category, Mary. Congratulations!
OMG yaaaaaay! It’s so deserving, too!!!!!
Huzzah, indeed! Heartiest congratulations!

Okay, so I nominated it for a Hugo since I’m not a SFWA member–but it’s like the universe heard anyway! Mwahahaha.
Even more congratulations!
Mary, you consistently inspire me. Thank you for doing so yet again.
