This weekend I went to the Oregon Regency Society’s annual picnic at Pittock Mansion. I will freely admit that I started attending last year for research. I wanted to wear the clothes and try the dancing and talk to people who knew the period.
I discovered on the very first evening that I really liked these people and that the events were a great deal of fun. Sadly, I’m almost always out of town when these days so it was with great excitement that I realized I could attend the picnic. I missed last year’s and just pined over the photos.
