Of note: Anyone who comes in costume to our readings, from either of our books, will get a small prize as well as a great deal of squeeing.
Shall we see you at any of these places?
Aw, no Seattle. Do the costumes need to be relevant to your book? Or can people show up dressed as a wolfman?
Yes, what are the costume rules? Because I could totally do pirate.
(But not corsair, from V&V… must read Marie’s books to see what sort of costumes are in that)
I’m doing a modified form of my ‘mad animal scientist’ sort of steampunk outfit. It’s suited to chillier weather, so I’ll have to make some adjustments to avoid overheating (and I’m not allowed a corset till my ribs heal), but a sort of naturalist/ explorer outfit would work well for Marie’s books.
My cousin is going in something along the lines of when Jane dressed up as a male artist, which I cannot wait to see ^_^
Alas, no 🙁
Alas, my one regency-style dress was given to a friend of the family as a prom dress (they needed it more than I did, and sharing prom dresses is a time-honored tradition). I shall have to break out my traveling mad scientist/animal biologist outfit!
Looking forward to seeing you in SF!
This must have changed, because I am sure you were not coming to Salt Lake on my birthday.
I can’t think of a better way to spend it! Costumes, books, good friends…I can’t wait.
Sadly, nothing in the Greater St. Louis Area, but I did get to meet you when you came to Ferguson in January so that makes up for it!
