When we had the Codex Writers’ Retreat we had a cookout one night and on another night we went out to barbecue. I had to explain to some of the guests that the two words were not synonymous. The following song will explain better than I could.
Spotted at Matthew Jarpe, who clearly understands barbecue.
That was really cute AND
informative!
I thought so, too!
OMG! Some works are immediate classics.
I wonder if these boys do an Appalachian Review . . . No one outside West Virginia seems to appreciate the derivative uses of the Appalachian “gin.” As in . . .
“Dang gunnit! I can’t d’cide gin the whiskey or the gin.”
Lost art of colloquialisms.
That was super! (Also: mmmmmmmm South Carolina yellow barbecue)
