Yep. David Lee Roth performs “Jump” with a bluegrass band. You must listen to believe. You have John Scalzi to thank for pointing this beauty out to me.

That was the most awesome bit of interstitial musicality I’ve seen in ages. Thank you.
My husband and I saw this several months ago, and it still occasionally comes up in conversation. For example, it came up while driving to Salt Lake this last weekend.
I never thought David Lee Roth would be a conversation staple :).
-e- has, in her house, a square dance version of “I will survive” which remains my benchmark standard for interstitial music. (Thanks for that phrase, Robin.)
Wow. That is odd, yet strangely compelling! Here are some of my favorite mix-ups…
The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain covers Smells Like Teen Spirit
Hurra Torpedo covers Total Eclipse of the Heart
Star Wars Theme on a Banjo
Those are almost hypnotic. I particularly liked the use of freezer and stove as percussion in the Hurra Torpedo cover.
