I had a great time at WFC. Highlights include the Shimmer Pirate party, where I served a drink called, pirate, to 150 or so people, while Beth tattooed them. Pictures will follow, meanwhile, here’s the drink recipe.
Shake in iced cocktail shaker & strain
3/4 oz light rum (2 cl, 3/16 gills)
3/4 oz Cognac (2 cl, 3/16 gills)
1/4 oz grenadine (1.5 cl, 1/8 gills)
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice (1.5 cl, 1/8 gills)
Serve in a cocktail glass (4.5 oz)
I met wonderful people and slept very, very little. I’ll tell you more tomorrow.
‘sup Mary! I just cruised my LJ list stealing buddies who I’d met at WFC off others, and figured it’s only polite to let people know I friended ’em.
Safe trip home,
CB
You know, I got licorice, but never any tattoos; Howard and I snuck away pretty early, what with the 7am flight the next day.
Anyway, remember me? Four seats to your left at the banquet. Just thought I’d say hi and let you know that my rose actually survived in my suitcase almost intact…
Yay! Hi Chris and Katie.
Chris, I’ll go friend you back, right away. It was such a pleasure meeting you.
Katie, I definitely remember you of the fabulous blue glasses, which I coveted for much of the evening. I’ll mail you a tattoo so you can enjoy the piratical fun.
Awesome. You’ve got my email address from this, yes?
Yep. I love my blogging software. Piratey goodness will go in the mail this afternoon.
If anyone else feels left out of the pirate fun, let me know and I’ll send you a pirate tattoo too.
I totally missed the pirate fun, and was so gutted! If I’d known it was a Shimmer party, let alone a pirate party, I would have been there regardless of chasing laundry around that hotel…
Don’t worry, we will very likely do a release party next year.
