What? You wouldn’t do this?

It did take some structural engineering to get it to stay put because it is a wee bit heavier than your standard tree topper.

For some reason the fact that you did this, and posted a photo, makes me very happy.
I’ve been joking about it and then we got the tree, so I thought… Why not?
That is AWESOME.
Very awesome!
Well, you did earn it…
LOL
Ha ha ha ha you are the best.
Yeah, just a wee bit heavier. But damn. 🙂
HAHAHAHA YES. I love that you did this.
OH how I love it 🙂
I thought you would appreciate that.
Impressive!
That is a great idea. It looks good up there!
I don’t blame you and yes I would!
I’m just glad to know I’m not the only one who thought of this. Sadly, I need a Hugo to make it happen.
Ok, now you’re just showing off. 😉
Why, yes I am!
Mary – Awesome tree topper!
You’re proud of your Hugo, display it with pride! I would!
Congrats to pulling that off! I think if I had a Hugo, I’d put the Hugo pin on a ribbon and tie that to the tree Now, if you had a Nebula…that would probably be trickier,
I love the fact that you can see rock city from the top of your Hugo (or is it the other way around)
That’s amazing. I’d be interested in exactly what sort of structural engineering you used, because I have problems with getting normal tree toppers to do what they’re supposed to, let alone something as heavy and unbalanced as a Hugo.
That is totally wonderful. Yes, I would – if I ever get one of my own to use.
Bravissina!
Clearly, the Nebula goes under the tree- it’s rectangular like a present.
I’m still contemplating turning mine into a hood ornament.
Chris
This is wonderful! What a great way to display a Hugo!
That is too awesome!
Brilliant!
Mary, you are awesomeness. I’m very glad that you have one of these and that you can do with it whatever you want. I love it that everyone seems so positive about this particular display. That allows me to offer a differing opinion without worrying that I matter at all…
Me… I think this is a lovely thing for a snapshot, but do you really want it defining this holiday season? I’d argue that it’s real home is on a shelf. Or in a box. Somewhere that you don’t see it that much, but can access whenever you need to.
That doesn’t make me a grump, does it?
I’ve never thought about the tree topper as defining the season. I usually have a windup toy there.
So what do your windup toys think of this? Are they plotting a rebellion?
I hear their gears turning.
I love you.
Though I have to say, if you hadn’t told us, I might have assumed something less family friendly.
aaahahahahahaha!
