Harlan County Horror

Sometime around the beginning of September, I got an email from Jason Sizemore: Mari Adkins and I are releasing an anthology titled “Harlan County Horror” under the Apex Publications imprint. All stories will be set or based around Harlan, KY. There’s a rich mountain culture there, the Cumberland Gap,…and there’s also things like the Hatfields

Reading the paper

Everyday, I try to at least read a couple of headlines in the newspaper. Living in Iceland, chances are I’ll see someone I know in the paper. This morning I could actually read the article! Granted, there was referring to dictionary, but still. The short of it is that Stefán Karl is doing voice over

Cut Paper Art

Speaking of paper art… I love cut paper. I started getting fascinated with it when I was working on Snow Queen, by Hans Christian Andersen. When he was writing a new story, he would tell it to an audience while making a paper cutting. At the end of the story he would unfold his cut

Doctors

I’ll start this by telling you that it has a happy ending and there’s nothing to worry about. Suspense is great in novels, but not in real life. Last week, I found a lump in my breast. (remember, happy ending) Daddi at work, made an appointment for me at Leitarstöð Krabbameinsfélagsins (center for cancer search).
