- I did decide to move Loki's tail. I've just cut it off and sliced his rump open. I'm hollowing it to make room for his rod to move freely. #
- Pulling the bungee out of Loki's hindquarters. Had to peel his skin back almost to his chest. #
- Looks like I will have to remove most of Loki's pelvis to get the rod action I want. I'll need a sharper knife. #
- Peeled up the ACE bandage holding Loki's spine together and reset it for a tighter connection at the pelvis. #
- I have Loki's pelvis where I want it, so I'm remounting his tail. #
- The rod in Loki's pelvis is comfy. I'm stitching his rump shut now. #
- In order to get Loki in the right position to stitch his rump closed, I have to hold him upside down, pinned against the table with my body. #
- I'm switching over from Loki to do bleach tests with Thor's pelt. #
- I don't know if we can get the wool down to the level of the wood. If it weren't for the color of the floor, I wouldn't try. #
- Darn it. Loki's tail came unmounted almost immediately. #
- Lining Loki's pelvis cavity with wool. Cozy and masks the green foam. #
- I am spending way more time stitching Odin's rump than I had any desire to. #
- For those coming in late, here are process shots of the things I'm working on with the various Norse gods today. http://is.gd/q96khn #
- Sorry! That should have read, "I am spending way more time stitching LOKI's rump than I wanted to." Odin doesn't have a rump. #
- Excellent! The bleach test on Thor was a success. Five minutes in a bleach bath got him to the right point. #
- I'm going to start skinning Odin before going back to pulling Thor's pelt off to bleach him. #
- I'm attaching Odin's chest now. #
- Bleah. The feathers on Odin's breast were too literal and busy. #
- Odin's wings are painted. I'll put the woodgrain on the back of them after they are dry. #
- Wrapping up work on the gods for the day so that I can walk them over to rehearsal and have some dinner. #
- Would you like to visit me and see some puppets? http://bit.ly/fYX5QT #
- Good morning, Houston. Would you like to visit me & the puppets I'm building for @neilhimself's Odd & the Frost Giants? http://is.gd/WbSXfE #
- Starting the day by shooting more foam into Odin's head. He's a little bobble-headed right now. #
- Decided to shoot foam into Loki's snout for good measure. I just hope it doesn't spooge out his eyes. #
- While the foam in Odin and Loki sets, I'm going to stitch the rest of Thor's ruff to his shoulders. #
- Boogger. The foam from Odin's head is in his spine. I'm glad I've got him hanging upside down from the rafters or this could be worse. #
- I am really tired of sewing Thor now. #
- Had to put on the latex gloves and slip my hands into Odin's skull to get the spooge out of his spine. #
- Finally finished stitching Thor and will now peel his skin off so I can toss it in a bleach bath. #
- If I had known I was going to be pulling Thor's skin off, I wouldn't have attached his neck quite so well to his head. #
