(I should mention that her birthday was February 5th but the DAR’s directory doesn’t come out until August.)

Very nice! All the best to you both,

They didn’t mention her involvement in the time-traveling project?
Well, that hasn’t happened yet so it would be inappropriate to bring it up out of chronological sequence.
A friend of mine would always end her convention stay at a hotel by telling the clerks, while she checked out, about what she thought of her stay and that she would tell her mom about the hotel.
Now she’s in her sixties, so the the desk clerks would often look at her husband with a sympathetic “your wife’s crazy” kind of look.
Then she would, calmly and quietly and oh-so-casually, explain her mom was on the national convention steering committee for the DAR.
She looks wonderful – not a day over eighty! I am a D.A.R., too, and always excited to see others doing their “D.A.R. thing” as some ladies in my chapter call it.
