The draft of Without a Summer chapter 10 is up.

I’ve just posted Chapter 10 of the Without a Summer Draft.

“But wait!” you say. “What happened to Chapter 9?”

Well… it’s like this. I went back and added a scene in Chapter 6 that made it long enough to merit a chapter split. I adjusted the breaks throughout and that made what had been Chapter 9 become Chapter 10.

If you want to go back and read the new Chapter 6 scene, which does contain plot, it starts with “Still, it took them some little time to hire a carriage to ride home as everyone else in London seemed as surprised by the snow and as unwilling to walk as they were. ”

I’m also toying with some other restructuring but am going to hold off until I cross the 50,000 word NaNo goal. Then I’ll pause, reread and make adjustments as necessary then write forward again.

If you are curious, I just crossed the 39k threshold.
