I spent a fair portion of the day practising in front of the camera. It’s not particuarly fun, because there’s no one to interact with…it’s more like doing etudes. I turn the camera on, hook it up to the TV so I can have a monitor and then practise running the puppet back and forth. I work on lipsync and focus and then more running back and forth. I do a little dancing to work out more fluid movement. It’s fairly dull for me, but I’m sure it’s interesting to the people who walk by our house.
