That is actually pretty close to how I pictured him in my brain. Which is really weird, but not. I mean you described him, and it took root. Jane did a great sketch.

The hair is so perfect. Also the untidy cravat, and the shoulders too broad to fit in the frame.
If I had paper copies of the books, I’d put one of these in each.

I recently started Glamour in Glass, and then watched the first season of BBC’s Being Human. I’m now seeing Vincent as combination of this picture and a tidied version of Aiden Turner.
