Today we did this shot where one of the characters had fallen. For a variety of reasons, we had to shoot this on the ground, instead of an elevated set. It’s always difficult with live hands to be on the ground. The only position in which I could do everything I needed to do was with my head under the puppet at the point where Julie enters it. This meant that when the puppet lowered, even a little, she was coming down on the back of my neck. Needless to say, I’m very pleased that tomorrow is massage day.
