Last night I finally slept through the night without having to get up and cough. And this morning I didn’t have a coughing fit. I think I might actually be done with this thing.

Hooray!!! This gives some hope that your mother will soon be over with it too.
I hope so. Tell her not to go swimming though, because my sore throat came back tonight. Sigh.
