I’ve just posted Chapter 4 for those of you reading along with the Valour and Vanity draft.
There was a slight bit of retconning, but very mild. I had been saying “Adriatic Sea” but Peter Ellis found a map of Italy from 1817, the year the book is set, which shows the “Gulf of Venice.” Â I checked out a couple of other sources to confirm and it’s consistently called the Gulf of Venice. So, I’ve updated that.
I also, in the process of looking at other maps, found a couple that were for sale so… I’ve indulged in some “research” and have a map from 1817 making its way toward me.
