Chapter 15 of Without a Summer is up, for those of you reading along.
This was a difficult chapter to write because it is a dinner party with a bajillion characters. The nice thing about the period is that you were really not supposed to talk across the table, though people did. This meant, however, that I could focus on the people closest to Jane and not worry so much about the others until later. This is the one that I needed a seating chart to be able to write.
Meanwhile, I’ve hit the point in the novel where I need to reread what I’ve written to see what I have and what I need to adjust.
