Interviewing Experts with Martin P. Robinson

February 16, 2021— 7PM CST to 7:50 pm CST

Mary Robinette hosts an interview with an expert in their field once a month for her $25 Patreon supporters. The topic rotates depending on the guest’s area of expertise.

Martin P. Robinson is an American puppeteer who works for the Jim Henson Company. He also built, designed, and performed the puppets for Little Shop of Horrors. He is best known for his work on Sesame Street, having performed the characters of Telly Monster, Slimey the Worm, Mr. Snuffleupagus, and others on the show for over 30 years. He is the senior Muppet-style instructor for Sesame Street International, and has been on the staff for the National Puppetry Conference at the O’Neill Theater Center since it’s beginning. He loves creating characters with the performers in mind for maximum efficiency of technique and character, but his very favorite types of projects are the ones he designs, builds and performs himself.
