November 1st will be here soon. You’ve decided that you want to do NaNoWriMo but you don’t want to do an outline. You also don’t want to write 50,000 words of crap. If you understand the basic tools of story-telling, you can write-by-the-seat-of-your-pants and still have something that has a sense of structure. Join Mary Robinette Kowal for a 2 hour workshop on Saturday, October 29 or Sunday, October 30.
We’ll look at basic story structure and how to use that to keep your story focused and on track, even while you’re making it up as you go along. Students will receive a recorded copy of the lecture, homework, and have an in-class opportunity to ask questions specific to their WIP.
Best of all, everything you write in class counts toward your overall 50,000 word goal.
And if you don’t want to do NaNo, but want to learn to write without outlining, this class will teach you that.
Classes will be taught via Zoom.
