Maggie’s home.

Maggie is home and surprisingly frisky. She won’t let me take her picture, I guess she knows she looks odd. From the left, she looks perfectly normal, but from the right she looks a sheep that had an itch while it was being sheered. I always thought her Meow sounded suspiciously sheep-like.

Surgery update

I just got off the phone with the vet. He found another smaller mass next to the first lump. He removed both and we’ll get them biopsied. They are also pulling a couple of her teeth because they are rotten. She’s going to hate me when she gets home.

Maggie at the vet

Well, I dropped Maggie off at the vet today. He’s supposed to call sometime mid-day to let me know how the surgery went, and if all goes well I’ll be picking her up between four and seven tonight.

Yard and friends.

I did some yard work today, including planting the raised bed/wine barrels in the front yard. Rob went down to the studio to edit Christmas Carol. And Don Dougherty stopped by for wine and cheese. It was nice to see him. The weather was so nice that we actually sat in the back yard. Lovely.

Audrey II and the Volcano

Lance and I did repairs today. Nothing much to report except that she’s not in good shape. The big news is that Mount St. Helens is going off again. I learned about it as I was biking home yesterday, people were standing out on their porches to watch. I had three people yell at me,

Editing

While Rob went off to play tennis, I spent a happy day editing short stories and my novel. I have to write a summary for it and a query letter, but I think I’ll be able to start sending it out in a couple of months.

Weeding

The weather has been unabashedly lovely. Which meant that I charged out to do some yardwork. Actually, mostly I went out because Rob had already done some and I felt guilty. In the process I remembered that I suffer from allergies, something which has not bothered me for the past two years. Why? Because I

Counter photo

Sorry this was so long in coming. Here is our new counter. I’m sorry I didn’t do a before picture. The low tile on the right of the picture is to accomodate the electrical outlet. The dark line around the sink is where the edge of the iron shows.

Maggie

Our kitty has long since ceased being radioactive but she continues to find ways to be expensive. Before the hyperthyroid treatment, Maggie had a small lump on her neck that was about the size of the head of a pin. It has grown. We took her in today and it’s a tumor. Sigh. She’s going

Little Shop

Lance and I picked up the 715 pound crate that my Little Shop puppets are shipped in. We took it to our new workshop space and opened it to reveal chaos. The puppets were badly packed and severely damaged. Grr. So, I’ll have to do a major rebuild to get them in working shape for

Irvington Home Tour

Besides running errands for my next project, I also went to a meeting for the Historic Irvington Home Tour. I’ve done the layout for the program book for the past several years. Last night I took the poster and tabletents (those little information cards that stand on the tables in restaurants) in for approval. They
