According to the Typealyzer the writing on my website indicates that I am a ESTP or one of “The Doers.”
The active and play-ful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.
The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.
You know, in the world of completely useless site analyzers, this one didn’t do a bad job of picking a category for me. How does it do with you?
ISFP – The Artists
[ISFP]
The gentle and compassionate type. They are especially attuned their inner values and what other people need. They are not friends of many words and tend to take the worries of the world on their shoulders. They tend to follow the path of least resistance and have to look out not to be taken advantage of.
They often prefer working quietly, behind the scene as a part of a team. They tend to value their friends and family above what they do for a living.
(According to the Myers-Briggs, I’m generally an INFJ)
I came up as an ISFP as well. Not too far off, as my real MB test (done in college so a bit dated) is INFP. It certainly feels a little more accurate than the gender analyzer did.
I came up with ESTP (doer) as well.
These things, whether accurate or not, are fun anyway if you have a bunch of people to share the results with. Our theatre company once put on a show with a theme about the internet. The flyer looks like a search engine home page, so for the website, I created a page that looks like a search engine too. And whenever you type something into the search box and hit “submit”, it just randomly spits out a cast member’s profile. And people spent hours typing in “diva”, “coolest guy”, “most likely to trip over a chair” and so on and laughing about the results, even though as the programmer, I know it didn’t analyze anything, it’s purely based on what time you ran the search, and it wouldn’t even give you the same result if you run the same search twice.
But we had so much fun with it anyway… =)
ISTP: The mechanics:
The independent and problem-solving type. They are especially attuned to the demands of the moment are masters of responding to challenges that arise spontaneously. They generally prefer to think things out for themselves and often avoid inter-personal conflicts.
The Mechanics enjoy working together with other independent and highly skilled people and often like seek fun and action both in their work and personal life. They enjoy adventure and risk such as in driving race cars or working as policemen and firefighters.
eh, I don’t know, is all right I guess.
your blog posts are showing up just fine on my lj too (read your subsequent remarks re: out of date posts, already)
