You are cordially invited to the Shades of Milk and Honey debut party

The reception for Shades of Milk and Honey‘s debut at NASFIC will feature Regency costumes, beverages, desserts (including the legendary poundcake baked by authoress’s mother) as well as party favors, readings, music, and a shadow puppet show in miniature.

If you are unable to attend, please be assured that festivities will take place in other cities as well.  Mrs. Kowal profoundly hopes that you will honour her with your company.

  1. Oh, goodness! I will be there, but alas, I have no regency dress! I shall have to wear a non-period gown and scandalize all the properly attired attendees.

      1. Much as I would love to retrofit a modern dress, or actually get a proper Regency one made for me, I fear I haven’t the time or resources to do that before this particular party. I do, however, have a lovely ensemble, which looks roughly a hundred years too late for your period, but which is too fun not wear. So. I shall be the person at the party who’s misjudged the settings on her time machine.
