Short bits for today

  • 01:10 Just going to dip the entrails in blood and then go to bed. #
  • 01:20 I’ve hung the entrails in the shower to drip dry. Must remember to leave a note for Rob. #
  • 08:36 I gave Maggie her two pills this morning and one of them makes her foam. She is sitting on my lap looking rabid. Cat zombie. #
  • 23:56 Amazingly, I’ve arrived home before midnight. #

Um, and what might that note say?

“Honey, I’m trying to DRY these entrails, so please don’t use them to scrub your back”

“I started the dissection without you sweetie… don’t forget to pick up quicklime”

    “Umm… pie”

Anyone else care to join in?

When we had a cat critically ill from anemia and FIV, once we killed all the sudden-outbreak fleas that had caused the anemia, we were able to nurse her through the “I do not want to eat” by feeding her every 15 minutes with a gel-type feline nutrition concentrate. She came through, lived happily for another four months until she contracted FIP during a vet visit.

It may or may not work, and it’s a bit of a struggle sometimes if the cat just doesn’t want to be bothered.
