New hosting provider

I’ve been having all kinds of trouble with downtime at my old hosting provider so I’ve switched to a new company. It will take 24-48 hours for the nameservers to proprogater through the internet, which means that my website will come back online at different times for different people. If you wouldn’t mind, would you post a comment about when you can see my website again?

  1. I can see it but was not as fortunate as Minister because it has been down most of the day.

Yay! That’s a nice spread across the US. I wonder how long the rest of the world will take.

  3. Seems to come up with less hesitation than it did previously, and more consistently. I used to get “can’t connect to server” about 20% of the time. Not once in the last 2 days though…

Thanks gang! I think it’s pretty clear that I’m up across the globe again. So far they really do seem more reliable. As -e- says, I used to get “can’t connect to server” about 20% of the time, sometimes mid-post. It hasn’t happened at all since it went live.

I’ll give it a week and then start moving my other websites over here.

  5. Um… do you mean to ask if I had switched servers again, or if I was still having trouble with the old provider?

Basically, I used to have all of my websites at edatarack, but I only moved maryrobinettekowal.com when I started having trouble with them in May. The recent trouble was with my company’s website, otherhandproductions.com, which I’ve now moved from edatarack to the new host at bluehost.com. I’ve been pleased with the customer service so far.

I’m in the process of moving all of my websites here.
